I'm a "Gershwin novice" and I'm looking for sheet music of Gershwin songs for solo piano. On various CD covers I have read something like "Gershwin Songbook Nos 1-18" or "Gershwin Songbook Complete". These are the songs I'm interested in. Which type of sheet music for solo piano is commercially available for these songs:
1) The original piano compositions, written by Gershwin himself?
2) Or piano transcriptions of the original playing of Gershwin?
2) Or piano arrangements written by other musicians and composers?
I have started a search at www.sheetmusicplus.com and I have found a lot of sheet music books. But I couldn't figure out to which of the three categories all these books belong. Could anybody tell me some "real good" book titles (upper intermediate to advanced level), prefarably of the first category?
