Does anybody know about any information regarding the meeting with Goottfried Wagner and Ira? I have read about it in the book, TWILIGHT OF THE WAGNERS, and it is probably mentioned in a biography about Ira, but which one?

Gottfried Wagner is a descendent of Richard Wagner. The book poignantly describes his family's intimate ties to Nazi power, which is more horrifying to me than I ever anticipated. Seeing pictures of his ancestors standing next to Hitler says more than words can possibly ever say. According to the Boston Phoenix, "What makes this book touching and valuable is that Gottfried want desperately to be a good man, a good German, and a good Wagner." I think that that is a valuable book because it is an illustration of how the country can change, when people learn to start thinking for themselves, as Gottfried has done. They are not quite the same as they used to be. Gottfried should be proud of his work, because it should lead to more research and more insight.
